  3. Channel 4 goes 3D :: get those sexy specs out

    November 8, 2009 by Ben

Coming this November – old school 3D on Channel 4.

    3dspecs

If you’ve not yet seen the adverts Channel 4 will be featuring 3d specific programs; the highlight of which is set to be Derren Brown’s 3D Spectacular.

In addition programs a “whole heap of 3D films” will be broadcast too.

Also, C4 are after your 3D films and video clips! Even if you don’t have a 3D camera (can’t remember ever putting one on my christmas list..) there’s a really helpful video showing you how to make a 3d video. If you want to see the creations of other buddy movie-makers add this string to a youtube search to show you only 3d clips: yt3d:enable=true

If you’re interested more in just watching 3D you can pick up the needed glasses in participating Sainsburys shops sometime soon. For more information, check out the links below at the C4 website.

  5. Bendavis.me : My personal blog/portfolio/thinking space

    November 4, 2009 by Ben

It’s not exactly new but I’ve finally got around to moving onto my new myfirehost.com servers and freshened it up with a new theme. I’m still working on it but I’d love to get some feedback anyway.

I’m still not sure about a few things, and feel the theme needs more to tie it together. Is the header font right, does it fit?

    What do people think?

I invite all criticism, but please be nice ;)

  7. The end for wordpress coders?

    November 3, 2009 by Ben

I’ve recently (just now in fact) been made aware of an adobe Photoshop plugin for wordpress theme creation straight from a psd design.

Looking through the Divine Project website and reading more about it seems to uncover a few pertinant points.

The site itself answers my initial question in its F.A.Q

    What is Divine plug-in?

Divine is the program developed for those who know a bit about Photoshop and sites creation but don’t want to waste their time making up a valid website on basis of popular CMS manually. Using this program you are able to easily make up a professional website and upload it promptly to the server through the embedded FTP-client.

Waste time making a valid website? Are they insinuating that valid code is unimportant? Can’t say I agree with that if that is what they mean. The plugin goes so far as to manage the entire themes’ upload and management as well.

  8. New Biffy Single “Cloud of Stink”

    November 3, 2009 by Ben

New Biffy single, presumably last one now before Only Revolutions is released – cannot wait!

Until then, enjoy “Cloud of Stink”: good and heavy like Biffy should be, and the rest of Zane low’s set last night. I have to say Simon’s voice is a little weird at the beginning of the track but it’s only a minor annoyance really.
